Rachel Joseph is the Founder and Principal of Patient Impact Strategies, a consultancy that extends healthcare and life sciences leaders' capacity to achieve critical business objectives, optimize financial and operational performance, and advance mission impact. Rachel has 25 years of business development, finance, and strategy experience with organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Lifebridge Health, and Eli Lilly.
Throughout her career, Rachel has structured strategic partnerships that generated millions in revenue, guided cross-functional teams in developing successful business cases that led to the approval and launch of new products and services, and led strategic planning that informed key investment decisions and improved organizational alignment.
A two-time breast cancer survivor, Rachel brings the patient perspective to the forefront of her work. She is a trained research advocate and collaborates with national organizations including Susan G. Komen’s Advocates in Science, Friends of Cancer Research, and the Department of Defense Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. Her advocacy also contributed to the passage of legislation in Maryland that prohibits step therapy for patients with metastatic cancer.
Rachel holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA in Russian from Stanford University, and a BA in Russian Literature from the University of Pennsylvania. She resides in Bethesda, Maryland.
